Roanoke Latino Festival Organized by Hacienda
This year’s program features local and talented artists from different
Hispanic countries. The Roanoke Ballet Theatre will present the “Sanguanito”
Nuca Llacta an indigenous dance from the mountains of Ecuador; Mexican folk
dance company “De Colores” from Washington, D.C (this company has performed
at The Kennedy Center, and the Smithsonian) will bring to Roanoke a complete
ensemble of Aztec and mestizo dances from all over Mexico. Zabor Dance Co.
from Charlottesville and its Tango dances. WestendMambo from North Carolina
is a complete Latin band presenting salsa, cumbia, cha cha, merengue and
other contagious rhythms. Dancing for everyone!
Participating countries include: Cuba, Colombia, Mexico, Honduras, El Salvador, Ecuador, Peru, Venezuela, and Puerto Rico *Authentic delicious dishes from some of the countries mentioned above * Children's programs, youth programs, information and community service Contact information
